Today was Week 9 Day 2 of the Couch-to-5K running plan. And really, I think these pictures say everything:


Back on January 1, I said in my very first post that my ultimate goal was to run a 5K in less than 30 minutes. At the time I could barely run a block without feeling like I was going to die. Today I ran 5K in 00:28:45… and I still have one more C25K workout left.
Here’s the data (pace vs. distance):

Total (not including warm-up/cool-down) was 3.11 miles in 28:45 (9:15 min/mile pace). Average speed was 6.5 MPH and a max of 7.8 MPH.
I’ll be doing W9D3 on Friday. The bar has officially been raised.
