Basecamp API coming soon

Back in July, in a post about a Backpack Dashboard widget for OS X, JF commented:

We do have plans to release a Basecamp API, but we have some other Basecamp stuff to take care of first to get it ready for an API. Hopefully before the end of the year, but we can’t make any promises at this point.

It’s a tiny bit later than expected, but based on the 37Signals blog, it looks like the Basecamp API is ready to be released.

I guess you you’ll no longer need a browser to get your next basecrack fix.

Update 2: The Basecamp API is now available. w00t!
