Webhosts and Ruby on Rails
Hrm… it seems like webhosts are starting to support Ruby on Rails. First (well, not “first” but you know what I mean) GoDaddy, and now stories like this:
I can finally start developing for Ruby on Rails. Mmm. I picked up the second edition of the PickAxe book from the library and have been reading through it. Blocks are pretty darn cool. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been reading up on Python, and I’m pleased to find that most of the cool things that I like about Python are in Ruby.
Is it possible that the Python community missed the boat on this one?

DreamHost (disclaimer: affiliate link) also has been offering Ruby on Rails for a few months, although I haven’t had occasion to try it.
I recently started on a project involving Python at work and I mostly like it except for little things like the lack of braces and the fact that
printis a special feature of the language rather than a regular function.Python & Ruby are both very interesting to me. Unfortunately, most of the folks I work are more into Perl, which I have more experience with than Python or Ruby but have grown to dislike it somewhat now that I’ve seen cleaner languages like Python and Ruby.
