Thanks a looot guys. In my office we are not allowed to use any other browser than IE 6 but I liked firefox very much thats why I downloaded the portable version of the same. Now I got rid off from the splash screen also.

BTW I was able to make firefox look like IE 7 and now its working great.

I got it to work. It’s easiest to just edit the sample FirefoxPortable.ini in the \Other\Source directory. You can change the DisableSplashScreen option in there.

Once you do, copy that file to the root directory where the firefoxportable launcher is.

The .ini has to be in the same folder as the launcher. I just did this with ffportable v3, and it’s working like a charm now.

I found that “DisableSplashScreen=true” is not enough. For some reason, the file needs the entire set of settings from “FirefoxDirectory” down to “RunLocally”.
Once I copied the ini file and just modified the DisableSplashScreen line, everything worked.

It’s getting me mad i can’t disable this silly splashscreen (i hate splashscreen).
I have a FirefoxPortableSettings.ini file in the same place than FirefoxPortable.exe.
My settings are the same than those in this post.
And it doesn’t work.
I’ve tryied a lot of combinaisons : [FirefoxPortable] or [FirefoxPortableSettings] in the parameter file ; file renamed “FirefoxPortable.ini” or “FirefoxPortableSettings.ini”, and so on, nothings works, it’s … annoying.
