I haven't tweaked Cedega much, but it seems to work OK as long as I run it in a window only. Are you hving better luck then I am?

God bless Cedega. For some people, the number one reason that they haven't switched to Linux is Counter-Strike. It's just that addictive, and even though they want to move to a better operating system, they stick with Windows for that game. Luckily, Cedega now fixes that, and there are no excuses for not switching to Linux. At least in my mind ;-).

I was a Mac user before I switched to Linux, and I never played games. Now I play games all the time. Who would have thought that switching to Linux would turn me into such a gamer? It's weird...

Have you tried playing any of id's games? Like Doom 3 or Quake 4? You can run them natively in Linux. They're both definitely worth checking out. I bought them both because I thought I should support a company that takes the time to release native installers for Linux, even though they're probably not going to make any extra money from it. Plus, id usually releases the source code for their game engines under the GNU GPL a few years after the game comes out. That's so great, it allows free software developers make some cool games based on the old id engines -- games like Nexuiz and Tremulous, both of which run on Linux.

Hooray for Linux gaming!
