Comments on: Django 1.0 release… sometime?

Nothing is holding me up, I’m using it already and I really like it. To me Django is like a baby and I just want to watch it grow and maybe give a little help in the process :) (gosh that was geek)

Adrian there’s no need for that attitude, no one is accusing the django dev-team of lazyness…

Like I said, I see no rush to get a “1.0″ out the door just for the sake of the version number.

Is it the release number that is your hold-up, or is it the lack of an “officially” stable API?

Short answer: It’ll be ready when it’s ready. Which should be sooner rather than later.

I know I am, but judging by the amout of open bugs - http://tinyurl.com/yfv2mp - there’s still a lot of work ahead and not many developers doing it, as far as I know.
