PyCon mysql-python sprint
Brandon pointed out in the comments of my previous post that there will be a sprint at PyCon 2007 with a goal of dealing with the whole mysql-python/Python 2.5 breakage issue. Here’s the description of it:
Goal: Create a win32 version of MySQLdb under Python 2.5
Coach: Frank Wilder <frankw at wilder-solutions dot com>
Details: I believe the Python community is being hurt by the fact that there is not support for MySQL under python 2.5. I would like to get a group together to solve this problem.
I’m not too familiar with the whole concept of sprints, but I hope it works. Thanks for the tip.
