Hi CJ and Renee, and thanks for the comments!

We started watching The Dog Whisperer well before we ever had a dog in our house. And I have no doubt in my mind that the show helped us prevent a lot of potential problems when we brought The Abbinator home from the SPCA. :)

C.J. - Very Well Said!!!

This book is not only inspiring from what we can do to enrich our dogs lives, but also to what we can do to inspire our own lives.

I was amazed at his basic formula to fulfill dogs - Exercise, Discipline, Affection. When I realized I was missing SO much of the Exercise portion, just by adjusting that, my dogs discipline problems all but disappeared! There are SO many aspects the book covers that are helpful - it's impossible to list them all here.
Cesar Millan came to the U.S. with little money and little knowledge of the English language, yet in relatively few years, he was the propriitor of his own successful business rehabilitating dogs and training their owners. He has continued with that successful business sense to find the right people to represent him so he can get his word out to as many people as possible.
He has helped me to enrich the lives of my dogs as well as inspired me to follow my professional dreams!!
EVERY pet owner needs to read Cesar's WAY! It's very enjoyable and informative reading! I'VE ALREADY PRE-ORDERED HIS NEXT BOOK COMING OUT IN OCT 2007!

BLESS you for understanding that Cesar's way is not about training, but dog behavior! You explained it so well!

After watching his show in season 1, I was motivated to do a "red-zone" rescue of a trapped chow that animal control had been called to put down.
It was incredible how safe the rescue was using Cesar's techniques. When I brought the dog how, I know the introduction and integration with my two other chowsmixes, would not have been successful without his instructions on how to introduce dogs in an established territory!

While I loved the show and had/have them on tape until they come out on DVD. I lived with that book in hand when I would be stumpted with what to do. The index in the back was wonderful in finding references to help me in the moment when I would be stymied with a behavior I couldnt remember how to react to.

The difference between the dog I brought home, that had to be brought along in Cesar's way, vs my non-Cesarized dogs was completely night and day!. 6 months later I lost one dog to a foot ball sized tumor. 1 year after that the other to insulinoma.

Since that time, I have stepped up my game, thanks to the tools, techniques and guidance of Cesar's Way to successfully complete more rescue/rehab/rehome dogs who were within hours of being put down for "unsolveable" problems!

Thank you so much again for the good words! I know they will touch people and motivate them to learn how to solve their dog/human problems and not so much give up on their dogs!
