I recently read the SAMS book and I though it was pretty good. I actually thought the typo density was lower than average for computer books. I've written a review for CVu (the ACCU magazine); when it's published I'll post a link here.

Good luck with the Packt book. The quality of computer books generally is pretty depressing.

Best wishes
